fine.so i haven't been updating this blog. hey i went to malacca! then i came back and wham! it's the start of school alrd. how do you expect me to upadte it soon enough?
and i've been trying hard to adapt to poly life.
mainly because it's so messy.
now, i'm gg to list out why:

1) there are like a thousand portals to check for announcements, lecture notes, tutorials, events, etc etc etc. (ie NPAL--admin stuff: timetable, exam slips, application for scholarships, financial assistance, electives, etc, Mel--lecture notes, tutorials, course announcements, surveys, elearning, etc, Npmail--your own email where the dept, your lecturers, cca heads, ba society, tutors, admin dept, etc send you info on all things from recrutiment drives to registration for events/marketing emails, BA sch homepage--for events like cip, recruitment drives for events they org, announcements that affect sch of BA, etc, np main site-- ccas, announcements that affect the whole np, etc...) and they did not even tell you what site to check for what. all of which i managed to realise on my own..so now you know why it's so messy.

2) eveything you print out yourself unless your lecturer/tutor is nice or stupid to print it out for you. so if you have nthg to refer to during class/lecture, too bad, you miss out. which totally sucks coz what if, like hua says, you checked for notes and the it's not there and so you log off and the next min, the notes are up.isn't it freaking unfair this way? furthermore, thanks to this system, a lot more money will have to be spent on printer cartriges. well, thanks, thanks a lot.

3) there are so many activities going on! and you can't possibly be in every single one but what if you just happened to miss one that you wld have loved to take part in but only knew later than the deadline? wouldn't that have sucked? so what i'm trying to say is that, oh gosh, this system, i'm gg to have to live with it for another three years of poly and prob two-three more years of uni in future. and this means that i would have to be a lot more efficent in checking those portals mentioned above for updates = less time for relaxing, having to be on my toes all the time for checking updates and registering for events/courses quickly, esp when there's a short deadline.

4) np boasts of over a hundred clubs and societies..with so many gg on, how do we even know which is good since, when you take a random few np students off the street, they prob all belong to diff ccas? there is hardly any means of comparision... x(

5) the campus is HUGE! unless like you have a map, many of us wld probably get very freaking lost. like we did on the first day of lecture. with such a big campus, it sucks coz you don't know the whole school, the secret spots, the deserted areas at the back of your palm...like how you did in sec/pri sch. ( and I (!) had to refer to a map to locate my classes.)

6)you have to lug a humongous laptop bag around plus your own bag. and it's so darn heavy! okay, technically, that does not count as messy but when you thin of how another hand is tied up with the laptop leaving you with only one hand to manage things, you wld definitely be messy.

7) and if i must list more, i'm sure i can find a thousand more things to complain whine explain why poly life is messy flexible.

alright, enough complainingwhiningexplaining to you all why poly is a mess is unstructured trains you to be so independent and self-disciplined.

am feeling great at the moment which is ironic because just a while ago i was sniffling and coughing my lungsphelgm out. i guess the medicine the doc gave was darn effective. super happy.

did a little shopping today. i must stress that buying three belts at once (!) and a pair of shorts is considered little. considering that i am usually NOT a fan of belts, i must confess that this was a little over the top. hey.they were on sale. three for $10.95. and i only meant to buy two. or one. but they cost like $13,14 on their own! Who wld get one belt at $14 when they cld get three at $11? So i guess one of you guys out there will have to my sacrificial when it boils down to bday presents. (don't worry, i have impeccable taste! :p )

hahs.okay.so that's basically it. ooh.i bought my printer cartriges too and then realised that from popular they were having offer for them at two for a much cheaper price. -pissed-so now i have to waste my all-so-expensive printer ink to print out my hw and then at the end of the module throw it away again? yeah, i'm sure that makes a whole lot of sense ><*

whatever. alright. so in all my expenses for the day = 10.95 (belts) + 10.90 (shorts) = $21.85! That's not a lot what. and oh, i signed up for tennis for sports and wellness. that's right. the sport i was "having so much fun with".not. i don't know what's wrong with my brain. maybe i wanted to give it a second chance, considering my tennis racket still left collecting dust in the storeroom, i feel bad. yeah.maybe that's it.continue thinking this way and i'm sure it'll all come true, jasmine. yeah right.
